Getting Ready for Adult Life

The Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 - As part of our learning process, we believe it is important for our young people to learn new skills to support them in preparing for Adult Life.

Project You incorporates a GRAL within our training and we have designed a ‘training and resource pack’ that incorporates day to day skills within our environment. This bespoke toolkit will assist in preparing young people on their journey to transition into adult life, from dependence to independent living.

Our GRAL pack covers the following:

  • Money
  • Health
  • Education, Training and Employment
  • Relationships
  • Management
  • Looking after yourself
  • Having your say
  • Legal rights
  • Life Skills

Therapeutic Curriculum

Project You works with students to improve their emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and social skills.

Our team works hard to ensure that all young people are at ease in our training facility, that there is always someone to talk to, and that they are supported in their academic endeavours.

Social Pedagogy - We understand that children have different learning styles, at Project You, we think it important to take on the social pedagogy approach to learning to assist in the succession of our young people.
